{A Dove’s Flight} I am now a contributor for CherryOnTop.com |The 2011 NBA Draft Live Event

Good Morning all, in an attempt to venue out and try new things. I am now a contributor for CherryOnTop.com which is the website of NY radio personality Cherry Martinez of Power 105.1 My first event was the NBA Draft event which you can read below.
Just some additional tidbits, spotted at the event were Keenyah Hill from Americas Next Top Model, Naomi from Real World Las Vegas, and Bad Girls Club Jennifer.

A PR Tip: On the step and repeat either have someone who is designated to say the names of the people as they are walking down or have a designated person there who would jot down the names on a dry erase board so you have the correct spelling. Something so simple but really impacts those covering events and ensures proper spelling and credit.

Tracee Ellis Ross and Malcolm-Jamal Warner Star in Upcoming BET Series, Reed Between the Lines

For fans of the sitcom Girlfriends who have long-awaited the return of Tracee Ellis Ross to television, the wait is over! Ross will star alongside the handsome Malcolm-Jamal Warner (The Cosby Show) in a new BET sitcom titled Reed Between the Lines. The two play Carla and Alex, a married couple (Ross’ character is a psychologist while Warner plays an English professor) juggling professional and family life with three children. With this new addition to their fall lineup, it seems BET is trying to revamp its image after years of criticism for its programming. Moreover, with competition for the urban audience from networks like TV One and VH1, if BET wants to remain a staple in the urban community, adding quality original programming is a step in the right direction. Reed Between the Linesis set to premiere in October.

Heal the World in Heels: A Guide to the Hottest Eco-Friendly Fashion

A bikini from H&M’s blue beachwear collectionJust because you want to save the planet, doesn’t mean you can’t look cute while doing it. It is possible to be a tree hugging fashionista. Many fashion brands have committed themselves to using only sustainable materials in their fashion designs. From bathing suits to high heels to jewelry, it doesn’t take much effort to be eco-friendly from head-to-toe. Let’s take a look:Amara Gold (AmaraGold.com) is a jewelry company specializing in 14k gold and sterling silver jewelry made from recycled metal. According to the company’s mission statement, each piece is 100% renewed and created without disturbing the earth.

Beyond Skin (BeyondSkin.com) is a brand out of the UK specializing in vegan shoes. The company not only saves animals with their synthetic fabrics, but also develops ways to cut back on the environmental dangers of production. The company denotes a portion of their proceeds to grassroots environmental projects.

H&M has teamed up with WaterAid for a collection of blue beachwear. The retailer will donate 10% of the proceeds to WaterAid, which works to provide clean water for poor communities across the world.
