When companies do too much | Netflix Loses 800,000 Customers in Quarter

This comes as no surprise to me.  Netflix deviated from its easy, profit boosting plan and decided to make things complicated by one increase fees drastically and two adding a new service. I guess  Netflix didn’t think their loyal customers would leave, but they have been proven wrong. The Netflix a spin-off its DVD-by-mail service, giving it the name Qwikster. First, that’s not a good name.  Second they has a social media scare when someone created a fake Qwikter twitter account bashing the company [Tip: secure all social media prior to a big launch]  Their CEO has since apologized and is trying to make amends. [The beginning stages of Crisis PR]  But is it to late for Netflix? Will Blockbuster try to make a run for the title? Will other mediums come out the wood-works? Only time will tell. My take on it is that Netflix needs to go back to what made them popular in the beginning. Stop doing too much.  Check the link on the full story here – on.mash.to/tVqAQ5
