Conversation with Lisa Price Founder of Carol’s Daughter

With Lisa Price at the Women to Watch Luncheon

Love to see raisins in the bowl of oatmeal, especially at events like this ~ Lisa Price

After the 2011 Women to Watch awards luncheon I made my way to the front to see who I could see and congratulate the honorees. I had a chance to speak with Lisa Price the founder of Carol’s Daughter hair care products.

We touched on the entrepreneurial spirit that she talked about on the panel and how you have to identify what your passionate about. “Learn more about your passion.” “Learn as much as possible.” “Stay informed.” She said “sometimes I just want to watch  Real Housewives of New Jersey but I can’t.” She instead reads up on whats going on in her industry. She even reads things that are not directly related but allows her to speak on various topics. It pays to be well-rounded.

Building knowledge based life experience comes in handy.” ~Lisa Price

We spoke on who she looked up and should people really try to be “the next” i.e. the next Oprah or “the next” Bill Gates. Her advice was not to try to be the next but look at the qualities that you admire in an individual and mimic those positive attributes. “I look at someone like Oprah there os so much she does that I can use.” “Look how people stumble and recover.” “Learn from them.”
